Parameters for AsyncTask

Since we are not passing any parameters to the doInBackground() method, the first parameter for AsyncTask is not being used. Then why are we keeping it as Object and not Void as was the case with the second parameter(Progress) which are 'also not using' ?

Maybe for use later on, or maybe it's just an oversight to not change it to void.
