2,922 PointsPassing an Argument to a Function - Stuck on this challenge - Please help!
Here are the instructions: Now that you've created the returnValue function, call it, by passing it a literal string value -- a series of characters in quote marks like this: 'My argument'. Store the results of the function in a variable named echo.
My code is attached. It keeps giving me this error message:
Bummer! Hmmm. It doesn't look like you're storing the returned value in the echo
variable.
function returnValue(color) {
var echo = color;
return echo;
}
returnValue("blue");

25,370 PointsHello Mark,
In this exercise they didn't want you to change the function after the first part. They want you to call the function, and assign the return value to a variable. What they mean by that is this:
function returnValue(arg){
return arg;
}
var echo = returnValue("Hello");
Based on the wording, I can see how that can be easily misunderstood.
