4,978 PointsPHP code challenge - conditional "echo" per variable value
Code Challenge issue:
For: Challenge task 3 of 4
The message in the final echo command only makes sense if your favorite flavor is the same as mine. Add a conditional around that final echo command that checks if the flavor variable has a value of "cookie dough." (Remember to choose carefully between using a single equal sign and a double equal sign in the check.) Preview the code and, if you have a different flavor, make sure the message disappears.
This works:
<?php $flavor = "chocolate"; echo "<p>Your favorite flavor of ice cream is "; echo $flavor; echo ".</p>"; if ($flavor == "cookie dough") { echo "<p>Randy's favorite flavor is cookie dough, also! </p>"; }
?>
However, when I change the $flavor to = "cookie dough" - then I get the error msg:
"Oops! It looks like Task 3 is no longer passing.
I go to the task in question - I tried changing the == to =, but that didn't work.
What am I doing wrong here?
(i.e. If I need to add another "if" statement to "hide" the "Randy" echo, how do I do that? I didn't catch that in the video.)

instead of echo ".";
on the fifth line. It's picky about the output being exact.
