Whenever i want to use date function in following manner it shows me the error which is mentioned in the question

date("F d,Y")

index.php
<?php
echo 'Today is ';
//Place your code below this comment
echo date("F d,Y");
?>

Strange as it is adding a space where it expected it (between the comma and the year) resolved the issue.
