Hi Brent,

A static site generator might be what you are looking for.

You'll still have the benefits that come with server side programming like being able to include common code, using templates, etc., but it will output static html files.

You'll have two sets of files for your site. The source files and the output files. The source files are the ones you would edit when you are updating the site. The site generator then takes your source files and generates your site. The output files from this are what you would upload to your server.

I can't recommend a particular site generator to use as I've only done some initial research on it. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of these site generators written in various languages.
