I'm on my way to completing the PHP track. I will be finished within a week or so. There are some portions that I would like to go back over. Then I will build a couple of webpages that use much server side code (PHP). After those two projects are complete, will that be enough to show a potential employer that I have a skill set?

13,695 PointsWithout looking at the projects you are working on I would likely say yes. Just remember there are lots of other factors in play when you are looking for work as a software engineer, entry level or otherwise. If you can build a project on your own then you probably have sufficient skill to hold down an entry level position. Keep in mind though that you'll be competing against other candidates and trying to impress potential employers. Make sure your code is clean, readable, and adheres to best practices. One really awesome project may make you stand out more than ten poor ones. I would say once you have a project that you're proud of, have some professionals in the community review your code and start putting in some applications. Keep coding, learning, and building things daily and you will only get better over time. You may get lucky and get a job right away, or it may take some time. Either way, the end result is the same if you stay the path.
