PHPMyAdmin Error Trying to Import .sql File

Hello:

I want to work this course locally but I have a problem when I try to import the .sql file

This is the error message:

"#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'SQLite format 3' at line 1 "

I'll appreaciate some help on this

Thanks

Hi Carlos.

Check your SQL file that you're importing to ensure it doesn't have any lines at the beginning which aren't SQL. By the looks of it, line 1 has some descriptor text rather than SQL.

Thanks Mark for your answer; how do I edit, with just notepad? or do I need a special tool? because when I opened with Notepad many weird characters appeared, so I decided not to edit because might cause file corruption.

What should I do?
