Please help! I'm terrible at these challenges. Seems like I constantly need assistance completing them. :(

Hey, don't worry you will get better at this. You should not have the quotation marks around the function arguments, when you declare the functions.

Basically, there are two steps to writing javascript functions

  • Declare the function
  • Call the function
// declare the function

function returnValue (age){
  var echo = 'hi there';
  return age;
}

// call the function with a value of 15

returnValue(15)

hopefully that is a good start.
