can I able to make an android application if join an "Android app development " track without learning Java. is java mandatory for Android app development?

Hi Ned,

I would recommend at least trying to learn some basic Java before jumping into the Beginner Android track.

But, if you really can't wait, I know Ben Deitch will take you easily through the first course which is building a basic "Fun Facts" App.

He'll explain everything as you go along. It may get tricky for you later on as we go into more advanced concepts so just bear that in mind as you go forward.
