I dont know how to finish this task. Can someone please explain what am i suppose to do.

Hi Tine

The challenge is getting you to select the ul element by id and target all the children of that element.

This is done by the HTMLCollection which contains all of the child elements

var listItems = document.getElementById('rainbow').children;
var colors = ["#C2272D", "#F8931F", "#FFFF01", "#009245", "#0193D9", "#0C04ED", "#612F90"];

for(var i = 0; i < colors.length; i ++) {
  listItems[i].style.color = colors[i];    
}
