Your method signature (def roll(cls, sum)
) looks correct but you have to do a few things:

Create a new instance of the Hand class and assign it to a variable:
my_hand = cls()
This will use our class method to create a new instance and assign it to my_hand

Append a D20 to your Hand equal to the number of dice given as an argument to the roll classmethod
for _ in range(sum): my_hand.append(D20())
This will enumerate a range the length of the variable that you passed (that you called
sum
) and append a new D20 instance to the my_hand variable. -
Then return the Hand of D20s.
return my_hand
So altogether you would have something like this:

def roll(cls, sum):
my_hand= cls()
for _ in range(sum):
my_hand.append(D20())
return my_hand
