CSS How to Make a Website Styling Web Pages and Navigation Style the Image Captions

Portfolio Gallery only 1 column

While trying to create two columns for mobile device.

What I'm getting is one column of all images and the footer with the facebook and twitter images begins the second column

index.html <ul id="gallery">

main.css /***************************** PAGE PORTFOLIO ******************************/

gallery {

margin: 0; padding: 0; list-style: none; }

gallery {

float: left;
width: 45%; margin: 2.5%; background-color: #f5f5f5; color: #bdc3c7; }

Hi Lou,

Your second selector there should be #gallery li. You want to apply those styles to the list items not to the ul.

#gallery li {
  float: left;
  width: 45%;
  margin: 2.5%;
  background-color: #f5f5f5;
  color: #bdc3c7;
}

Thanks Jason. I discovered that just before you email arrived.

Lou
