Hey Marcus. Welcome to Treehouse.

Downloading files is available on both the Pro and Basic plans once you are off the 14-day trial. The difference between Pro and Basic is the type of content you have access to.

Both memberships give you access to the courses, videos, and all other teaching/learning features of the site. The Pro membership, however, will also give you access to extras like Conference Videos, bonus workshops, etc.

Sorry, but until you are off the Free-Trial, downloading is disabled.

:)

Awesome ill probably do that, Is there a family account available on this?

Iv worked coding for awhile now and i am wanting to get my nephews into it, That's why im trying to find a user friendly interface for them to learn on rather than me losing my rag with them haha!

Also if i was to have them use this account is there any way to reset my track progress?

Sorry, those would be questions to ask the support team. I am not an actual employee of TeamTreehouse, I am only one of the Community Forum Moderators.

I would love to be able to help you personally, but any account and/or technical questions like that need to go to them. :)

I hope you choose to continue here. I think you will find all you need.

Jason :)

Hey Marcus Armitage

Unfortunately like many things in life, a few bad apples can ruin it for the rest of us. As far as downloading content on Treehouse goes, we've had many, many folks come in for a trial and download hundreds if not thousands of videos before cancelling their trial without ever paying for that content. That's simply not a sustainable business model for us. I hope you understand the restriction with that in mind.

Good luck to you on your trial, and thanks for being a student. :zap:

It's unfortunate, Usually i use Codecademy to brush up on my skills and iv come over to tree house because it seem's more in-depth with better tool's, But I feel as though my trial experience is hindered by these things.

Also upon signing up I was welcomed with a two week trail yet it would only allow me to select the either a 7 Day trial for Basic or Pro. Is this normal?

I'm not sure on that, as it's been a while since I've signed up. You can always contact the Treehouse Support Team to verify the trial period.

I was at Codecademy too, but then came over here. After a couple days of watching the videos and seeing how in-depth the instructors were, I realized I found a better place. :)

If downloading videos are important (as it was with me), you can always ask support to move you from the Free-Trial to a Paid Membership (You can always start with the Basic and upgrade later to the Pro when you see fit).

Good luck with your endeavors and Keep Coding! :)
