problem on Stage 5 of JavaScript basics?

here is my code,

function max(4, 3) {
  if (4 > 3) {
    return 4; 
  } else {
    return 3;
  }

}
max(4,3);
alert(max(4, 3) );
script.js
function max(4, 3) {
  if (4 > 3) {
    return 4; 
  } else {
    return 3;
  }

max(4,3);
alert(max(4, 3) );

Hi ashok,

You are using values on your function definition while you should have parameters.

Try this:

function max(i, j) {
  if (i > j) {
    return i; 
  } else {
    return j;
  }
}

alert(max(4,5));

when you call the function, you pass it the arguments (4,5) that will be used in the execution.
