Hey eric yeboah,

The looking for funding message can be ignored. As for the error when running your script, based on the error you shared, it looks like you're trying to run npm Start instead of npm start. The script names are case sensitive so you'll want to make sure to match the casing with how the scripts are setup in the package.json file.

Hi eric yeboah 👋

Are you getting any errors when running the npm start command? There are a couple of things you'll want to double check:

  • Do you have Node installed?

You can run node --version in the terminal to check, if a version number is shown you're good to go

  • Are you located in the correct directory when trying to run that command?

When working with the project files you'll want to change the directory to matchup with the files of the video you're working on, for example:

React-Components/STAGE-2-Data-Flow/3-Communicating-Between-Components/BEGIN/scoreboard

Hope this helps to get you going again! 😃

i am now getting 'react-script ' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Sounds like the required dependencies are not yet installed. After navigating to the correct path you'll want to run npm install, this will install the dependancies listed in the package.json after doing so you should be able to run the project with npm start 🙂

Hope this helps!

i get “5 packages are looking for funding” after i run npm install but when i go on to run npm start, it returns an error “Missing script : Start”
