hi I'm 14 and I am trying to learn the key logger part of Tkinter I was working my way through the course and I was wondering whether I should use work spaces or use python idle because pycharm costs quite a lot of money

65,469 PointsThe PyCharm Community edition seems to be free. Also, since your a student of Treehouse, you might be able to get the Pro version for free (I'm not exactly sure, though).

13,935 PointsPycharm actually has a community edition which is free to use and for most things you won't need a pro license. Download the community edition in the link below to use the free version https://www.jetbrains.com/pycharm/download/#
Another good python IDE is spyder, it's open sourced https://github.com/spyder-ide/spyder
If you're interested in general purpose text editors you can try atom or sublime text these can be customized with downloadable plugins
