Python Python Collections (2016, retired 2019) Dictionaries String Formatting with Dictionaries

Python dictionaries

please help I am stuck on this code. I have gone through my tutorial videos religiously for several times but I don't seem to get enough tools for this question

string_factory.py 
def favorite_food(dict):
    return "Hi, I'm {name} and I love to eat {food}!".format()

Sometimes the error message from "Check Work" will contain a clue, even if you haven't done anything yet.

In this case, it says "Did you unpack the dictionary that's passed as a parameter to favorite_food, and pass it to .format()?" So the "tools" you'll need are:

  • how to pass an argument to a function
  • the operator that unpacks a dictionary (hint: it's known as the "splat" operator)
