python .remove I can't figure out what to remove. Any hints?

I just can't seem to figure out what to remove here. Any hints anyone?

states = [
    'ACTIVE',
    ['red', 'green', 'blue'],
    'CANCELLED',
    'FINISHED',

]
states.remove([finished])

The remove() method needs you to pass the value of the item you would like to remove inside the parentheses. The item you want to remove in this case is the last item in the list, which is 5. You do not need to use square brackets inside the parentheses either.
