Question 3 of 3: calling function and inserting into variable

JavaScript Basics:

Hi, I'm stuck on question 3 of 3 in this topic. Calling a function and then storing it into a new variable. Grateful if you can assist.

Thanks

script.js
function getYear () {
  var year = new Date().getFullYear();
  return getYear;
}

  getFullYear();
  var yearToday = getFullYear ();

You have an error on your script.

function getYear () {
  var year = new Date().getFullYear(); // you store the result in the var year
  return year; // you want to return the value that you've calculate.
}
  var yearToday = getYear (); // you save the value that is return in the function getYear, into a var
