Question about padding values on The Float Challenge

Guil applies padding-left and padding-right values on .col

Why does the padding-right get applied to .secondary and padding-left to .primary?

How is it determined which class gets padding-right and which class gets padding-left? Why are these values applied to the inside as opposed to the outside?

I hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance :)

As you said, "Guil applies padding-left and padding-right values on .col". They are not applied separately to "primary" and "secondary", so both columns get both padding settings.

So the padding ("gutter") is added to both the inside and the outside at the same time.
