question for Ruby users. When you start up terminal. Do you have to run ruby constant?

Lets say we open terminal after downloading everything needed on a mac a few days prior. Lets say we haven't touched terminal since we've downloaded everything we've needed. Would you need to type in the commands irb into terminal to access ruby or can you code away assuming the program is running?

Ruby will still be there, but yes, you'll have to type irb to open the ruby environment. Hopefully by this point you've tried and figured it out yourself :)
