Ruby Ruby Operators and Control Structures Logical Operators The And (&&) Operator

Question on check_speed(car_speed) challange- I do not what error I'm making here.

def check_speed(car_speed) car_speed = 65 if (car_speed >= 40) && (car_speed <= 50) puts "safe" else
puts "unsafe"
end end

Hi there qudsia,

You have everything syntactically correct :thumbsup:, but you did not follow the instruction exactly. Challenges are very specific and very picky, so when you do something that wasn't asked for, or do something different, you will receive the Bummer!.

Here, there are 2 things:

  1. The challenge did not ask you to set a variable for car_speed, so that line needs to be deleted.
  2. The challenge explicitly asks you to return the strings, but you are using puts, so those two lines need to be changed.

Once that's all fixed up, the challenge will pass.
