If / is quotient operator, then var_dump( 5/10 ) should return 0. Why does it return float(0.5)? Is it right to call / quotient operator? I think the right word should be division operator.

4,491 PointsHey Aamir. It's definitely used for Division and that is also what quotient means. In arithmetic, a quotient (from Latin: quotiens "how many times", pronounced หkwoสสษnt) is the result of division. For example, when dividing twenty-one (the dividend) by three (the divisor), the quotient is seven. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quotient)
