RaceCar method object not clear

Am I doing something wrong in this challenge? It seems to me that my code should work. Could anyone check and tell me what am I doing wrong?

here is the code:

racecar.py
class RaceCar:
    def __init__(self, color, fuel_remaining, **kwargs):
        self.color = color
        self.fuel_remaining = fuel_remaining
        self.laps = 0

        for key, value in kwargs.items():
            setattr(self, key, value)

    def run_lap(length):
        self.laps = self.laps + 1
        return self.fuel_remaining-(length*0.125)

You are VERY close! Two errors to fix:

  • run_laps needs self as the first parameter
  • instead of returning the new value of fuel_remaining, assign the value back as the new value of fuel_remaining. A return is not needed.

Post back if you need more help. Good luck!!!
