I'm not sure what's wrong.
# EXAMPLE
# random_item("Treehouse")
# The randomly selected number is 4.
# The return value would be "h"
def random_item(iterable):
index = random.randint(0, len(int(iterable) - 1))
return iterable[index]

to an iterable won't work as far as I know.

Jacinator is right.
Like in the example, if you call the function with random_item("Ttreehouse"), you will encounter an error when trying to do int("Treehouse")
I think removing the int() is what you need to pass the challenge,
Kindly, Idan.
