24,694 Pointsrbenv or rvm?
I'm on the Treehouse Rails Development track and in both "Installing a Ruby Development Environment" and "Ruby Foundations" there are tutorials for downloading Ruby. I have a Mac and I followed the instructions in "Installing a Ruby Development Environment" to make sure all my software was good to go. The problem is that in this lesson Jason Seifer recommends downloading rbenv, but in "Ruby Foundations" he recommends rvm. As I understand it you can't have both on your computer; they cause complications for each other. I actually have both now. So my question is this: going forward with the Treehouse track, which one should I keep: rbenv or rvm? Or can I have them both?

36,441 PointsAs far as I know, keeping them both can cause problems. It's a matter of preference, I use rvm just because it was the first thing I installed and learned how to use.

7,367 PointsYes, I am very confused too. Also the website he refers to rvm.beginrescueend.com doesn't exist anymore.
I am not sure if I am installing Ruby in a correct way.
