PHP Object-Oriented PHP Basics Understanding Classes Methods of a Class

Really not clear how my answer is wrong given the clue is not relevant to the code I wrote. Can you help debug?

I've included $this->common_name, and it continues to throw a clue that is not relevant to the code I entered for this Challenge task.

fish.php
<?php

class Fish
{
    public $common_name;
    public $flavor;
    public $record_weight;

    public function getInfo()
    {
      echo "A " . $this->common_name . " is an " . $this->flavor . " flavored fish. The world record is " . $this->record_weight . ".";
    }
}

$bass = new Fish();
$bass->common_name = "Largemouth Bass";
$bass->flavor = "Excellent";
$bass->record_weight = "22 pounds 5 ounces";

echo $bass->getInfo();
?>

Hi Joshua Jenks

Well, technically your code is 100% correct. :thumbsup:

However, the instructions in challenges are always pretty specific and will always need to be followed exactly, or your code will often fail the check.
Here, the instructions ask you to "return the string**" but you are using echo. Just change that up and it will pass.

Nice work!! :) :dizzy:

Thank you. I figured it was something like this but I guess I did not follow the instructions correctly. I believe the question before this kind of leads into trying it this way by default.

Still, I realize being a developer requires paying attention to detail so it's definitely on me. I really appreciate the pointer!
