Really not sure what they are asking me to do here.

I'm confused as to what they are asking.

app.js
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";

var userName =
index.html
<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
<head>
  <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
  <title>JavaScript Basics</title>
</head>
<body>
<script src="app.js"></script>
</body>
</html>

They want you to convert the 'id' variable to all uppercase (i.e. 23188XTR) and assign it to the var 'userName' using the method .toUpperCase()

So, how can you make the var userName = "23188XTR";

Basically you need to transform all characters on id variable and store it into userName variable.

Try this

var userName = id.toUpperCase()

Thank you. I was tired and having issues figuring it out. In truth I am having more difficulty following along with this video than the html and css videos. I appreciate your help.
