Refactor Challenge Solution

While contemplating the solution I decided to comment out the nine groups of repeated code leaving just the original knowing I would need to 'for' loop the first set of code. When I pressed the preview workspace button to see how the code would run the program still gave 10 different colored circles. I even deleted the 9 extra and the program still gave 10 colored circles. I went ahead and solved the challenge with a 'for' loop in the end but was confused by the outcome of just deleting the code and not adding a loop. Any insights?
