refactoring on challenge

Just a quick question. When going through the challenge he uses to empty arrays. Couldn't this be refactored down to one multi array instead. And then have the elements be pushed to it?

I believe that's totally possible, but the main reason for two separate arrays is mainly readability I imagine.
