regex issue

Every time I try this it comes up with players doesn't seem to be a regex object but apparently a few people in the community have passed using it, any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?

players.py
import re

string = '''Love, Kenneth: 20
Chalkley, Andrew: 25
McFarland, Dave: 10
Kesten, Joy: 22
Stewart Pinchback, Pinckney Benton: 18'''

string = '''Love, Kenneth: 20
Chalkley, Andrew: 25
McFarland, Dave: 10
Kesten, Joy: 22
Stewart Pinchback, Pinckney Benton: 18'''

players = players = re.findall(r"""
    ^(?P<last_name>[\w\s]*),\s
    (?P<first_name>[\w\s]*):\s
    (?P<score>[\d]+)$
""", string, re.X|re.M)

Hey Stacey Normington, you’re so close!

The regex pattern is correct. However, the tasks asks you to use re.search or re.match. Both of these return a regex object.

The re.findall function returns a list of strings.

Post back if you need more help. Good luck!!!
