Removing all items except ints from the list, using .remove() and del

this is the code I wrote to pass the challenge, but I feel like it could be more efficient for example what if someone put True in my list it would just be there. I was wondering if there is a way to have all the checking and removal done inside the for loop. Any information would be very helpful thank you.

messy_list = ["a", 2, 3, 1, False, [1, 2, 3]]

# Your code goes below here
messy_list.insert(0,messy_list.pop(3))

for i in messy_list:
    x = messy_list.index(i)
    try:
        i / 2
    except TypeError:
        del messy_list[x]

messy_list.remove(False)
