JavaScript JavaScript Loops, Arrays and Objects Tracking Multiple Items with Arrays Removing Items from an Array

Removing first item and placing it in new variable

Not sure what I am doing wrong, i've watched the videos atleast 5 times over the course of 3 days following closely and making adjustments but it still doesn't work. Can someone see what I am doing wrong? The challenge: The orderQueue array contains a list of customer orders. Create a new variable named shipping -- remove the first item from the array and place it in the shipping variable.

script.js
var orderQueue = ['1XT567437','1U7857317','1I9222528'];
var shipping = [];
orderQueue.shift(0);
var firstitem = shipping.unshift(0);

You can do it in one line, declare a variable and immediately assign to it the first item shifted of the beginning of the array

here is an example from the teachers notes of using the .shift() method

var items = ['Hat', 'Ball', 'Shoes']; var firstItem = items.shift(); <---- What your answer should look like // firstItem now holds 'Hat' // and items is now ['Ball', 'Shoes']
