8,378 Pointsreturn values and parameters.... I seem to be totally lost when attempting to store my values to parameters/ call back
I can create my parameter with function returnValue(str) {}. return str, will store that value. but when I add the var echo = returnValue(); I seem to be losing something. please help my brain understand this.
function returnValue(str) {
return str;
var echo = returnValue("whats up");
}

19,952 PointsAs soon as your code hits the return it stops running and returns to the calling code, meaning it never reaches the echo statement. Put the echo statement before the return.
