returning total number of courses for all teachers

I don't know exactly what i am doing wrong. i need to return the total number of courses from a dictionary

teachers.py 
# The dictionary will look something like:
# {'Andrew Chalkley': ['jQuery Basics', 'Node.js Basics'],
#  'Kenneth Love': ['Python Basics', 'Python Collections']}

# Each key will be a Teacher and the value will be a list of courses.

    teacher = len(teachers)
    return teacher

def num_courses(teacher):
    num_courses = 0
    for course in teacher.value():
        num_courses += len(course)
    return num_courses

It looks like just a typo. You wrote "value()" instead of "values()" (with an "s").
