returning with return getYear (); is not working, what am i doing wrong?

im entering the variable the using the return as i was taught but there seems to be a syntax error

They want you to return the year variable inside your function

You wrote return getYear instead of return year.

Combine both of these answers.

function getYear() { var year = new Date().getFullYear(); return year; }
