Hey Keith,

See if the code below works. The difficulty is declaring the secret value as a string instead of a prompt, and then calling that string within a prompt. You then store the response from that prompt back into the secret variable.

var secret = "What is the secret password?";
do {
  secret = prompt(secret);
} while ( secret !== "sesame" )
document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");

Thank you Benjamin!

In hindsight I don't think this code would actually work as it ought, despite passing the code challenge haha. If the password were entered incorrectly, the secret variable would get overwritten and the next prompt would display that response. Instead, I would use a different variable name for the question string and inside the prompt. I tried this again and the challenge does pass using the following:

var passphrase = "What is the secret password?";
do {
  secret = prompt(passphrase);
} while ( secret !== "sesame" )
document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");
