I have followed the instructions to the T.
Do I need to use sqlite or sqlite3? There are two different set of instructions in this tutorial.

3,502 Pointsyou can use other databases, SQLite is just the go to. but in production you should switch your DB to MySQL or PostgreSQL. depending on your needs, and hosting provider. PostgreSQL is an obvious choice if you want to host on heroku.

4,712 PointsI'd recommend using sqlite3 since it does a better job. If you're on a mac, install something called homebrew and install applications easily. (http://brew.sh/)
