Saying that task 1 wont work

Saying that task 1 wont work when it says it does. Really confused please help me out.

Try this:

var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase() + "#" + lastName.toUpperCase();

This worked for me.

Check this out. This should work.

userName += "#" + lastName.toUpperCase();
