I tried many ways to put the alert tag inside a script tag. I even started a new line with <script>alert('Warning');</script> and it keeps saying task one is wrong.

231,236 PointsIt looks like you have 3 separate issues:
- You should have only one pair of script tags (one open, one close)
- Your script tag should not have a src attribute, that's only for using external files.
- Your alert message is missing the ending quote mark.

13,151 PointsYou are "calling" (that's not the right word) the scripts.js file two times. In your second <script> tag, remove src="scripts.js".
That way the code inside of your script tag will run instead of the page attempting to load scripts.js 2 times.
