var fullName = document.getElementById("full_name");
var lastName = document.getElementsByTagName("span")[1];
The method is a plural ("getElements"), so the task is to get the multiple elements and then get the second element. I used array notation for this. index 1 is the second element (zero based index). (you can always copy your javascript and html and experiment with it. Using the browser's developer tools is a good way to get a look at what you're getting back for a particular method call)
