Your hyperlink reference needs to be inside your a tag angle brackets.. Like this

<a href="#top">

Also, for future reference. If you want to go to the top of the page, you can use href="#". If you have an id attribute named "#top," "#bottom," "#something." You can jump to that section in the page using href="#something". "Jump to" example, and ID attribute tutorial.

In the <body> tag you need to add this to it:

<a href="#top"></a> //this will make you go to the top of the page like in the video
