For Hexadecimals you need to have 6 or 3 characters in order to style colors. Try this! :)
p { color: #000; }

you can use either 6 or 3 values, that is p{ color: #000000; }

or the short

p{ color:#000; }

notice if you hover over in your workspace the color appears.
