Setting top and bottom padding to 15px, padding on left and right to 10px. What am I doing wrong?

Can someone please point out what I have wrong?

Hey Erin,

Your properties are correct, but you're writing them in the wrong rule. Since you want to modify the nav links (anchor tags) you should write your properties in this rule -

nav a {
  color: #fff;
}

instead of this rule -

nav li {
  display: inline-block;
  font-weight: 800;
  padding: 15px 10px;
}

The nav li { } rule applies properties to the list items, instead of the actual link anchors.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any further questions!

Thank you so much! I was able to fix my answer and move on in the quiz.

The font-weight and the padding should be applied to links inside of the nav element not the list items.

nav a{
  font-weight: 800;
  padding: 15px 10px;
}
