56,414 PointsYou can't declare two different types for a variable. I don't believe that either are supposed to be Strings:
private String SharedPreferences.Editor mEditor;
private String SharedPreferences mSharedPreferences;

1,905 PointsYou are rite Seth, actually my first mistake is that SharedPreferences doesn't have a data type. So in this case we will declare: private SharedPreferences .Editor mEditor; private SharedPreferences mSharedPreferences;
and the second one, was just a spelling error of " SharedPreferences " while assigning editor : "mEditor = mSharedPrefrences.edit();"
