Hey Shauna,

The challenge is asking you to write a function that takes a single argument and returns that argument. Something similar to this:

function returnValue(example) {
  return example;
}
var echo = returnValue('Example');

Using your code:

function returnValue (number1) {
  return number1;
}
var echo = returnValue('My argument');

Best,

Jacob

Thanks, I was over thinking it!

Hi I believe it also asking you to call the function, here is an alternative solution:

var echo = returnValue('hello');

function returnValue(val){

return val; }

returnValue('echo');
