Android Build a Simple Android App (2014) Basic Android Programming Empty Strings

showFactButton error

When I type the

Button showFactButton = (Button) findViewById(R.id.showFactButton);

the second showFactButton is red and it says it is not resolved. Please Help.

Hi Dhara,

Usually that means you don't have a corresponding view (in this case button) in the xml file for your layout. Could you make sure that you have a button there and that is has the same id (with same spelling/capitalization) as your line of code there?
