12,842 PointsSilly Question: Is Instructor Dave McFarland a Brony?
I'm watching the Accessing Object Properties JS video and Dave made a reference to "Rainbow Dash", which is a character from the My Little Pony TV show. Could Dave be a Brony?

28,883 PointsIf so, I'd like to see his reaction to this masterpiece.

31,168 PointsHe appears to be of the age where he could have a daughter that is into My Little Pony, so maybe he was doing her a solid by referencing the show. Regardless, I can see him using that as an example as raising some eyebrows lol.
On an unrelated note, I think his voice sounds similar to Benson from Regular Show.

16,594 PointsI'd like to point out that Anjali seems intimately familiar with the subject of bronies. No judgement here my friend. Everyone's welcome at the table of life :D

28,883 PointsFriend, you mistake me. I actually know only a little about My Little Pony and it's fandom. However, through my in-depth excursions into other fandoms, I have met people who know far more on the subject than I do, who have directed my attention to that particular video. This question brought that video to mind, so I thought it was worth sharing.
That being said, while I am not intimately familiar with the subject of Bronies, I am deeply engaged in various other fandoms that are centered around stories commonly considered to have a rather limiting upper bound in the age of their consumers. There is certainly no judgment coming from here! (::

(I just felt like being wordy for no particular reason... [xx )

I checked the video transcript, and it does not contain the words "rainbow" or "dash" at all. What's the time index where you believe you heard this reference?
Now quit horsing around and get back to learning.

12,842 Points4:18 is the place where he adds Rainbow Dash into his code. And yes, I should stop and get back to coding now :D But at least it shows that I'm paying super close attention to the video content!
var message = '<p> Hello. My name is ' + person.name + '</p>';
message += '<p> I live in the ' + person.country + '</p>';
person.name = 'Rainbow Dash';
message += '<p>But, I wish my name was ' + person.name + '</p>'
print(message);

17,813 PointsOMG Dave! You actually referenced my daughter's favorite character Rainbow Dash, from her favorite TV show, My Little Pony! She absolutely adores Rainbow Dash and has toys of her. She even wants to become Rainbow Dash when she grows up!
Best part of my learning here ever!!!
