I thought I play with the latest version which as of this time is slim^3.12 (eventually will outdate). but is more up to date then the version in treehouse, if you wanna look at the code to get an idea how to build it with 3.X version i got a snap shot I am in the progress of working on here. it minimally will give you a home page with twig. Hope this helps someone wanting to use 3.X!
