somethings wrong with this script. the value in the variable money is only 9 but if you preview this script youll see

youll see the "time to go to theater" message. fix this script so that it correctly tests the money and today variable and prints out the proper alert message "its Friday, bur i dont have money to go out"

i tried changing the ! into a = to make it read === but that didnt seem to work

You were halfway there. The reason it is still alerting the first conditional statement is because it is testing if money is greater than or equal to 100 **OR* today is equal to Friday*.So because today IS equal to 'Friday' it will fire the first conditional. When you need to do is change the OR (||) operators to AND orperators (&&). Like below.

} else if ( money >= 50 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie and dinner");

} else {
  alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home.");
}
